Decathalon

Other sports \ challenge ideas to make it up to 10 events (without answering the question Why?)
  • Table Tennis (In my summer house, free)
  • Chess (In pub, I have a chess clock to keep games moving quickly)
  • Some form of arcade driving game (I think there is a multiplayer one at the bowling)
  • Downing a pint (can be measured in minutes rather than seconds)
  • Cribbage (In pub)
  • Carrom (I have a board or in the Lamb)
  • Golf driving range (we can make up some events, longest drive, nearest pin)
  • Football (at a park with goals; penalty shoot-out, dribbling skills, keep-ups)
  • Badminton, Squash, Tennis
  • Football scores - Virtual Pools with betting shop sheets.
In the bin
  • Archery (Can't find anywhere to just turn up and have a go)
  • Texas Hold'em (Ian's got the chips but it would take too long)
  • Laser Quest (Can't find one near by)
  • 10km run
  • Cycle race around Richmond Park
Maybe some of the ideas can be used as extra bonus events throughout the day?
If you think any of ideas might just work (including the ones in the bin) let me know.

Jungle Island Adventure Golf http://hortonparkgolf.com/jungle-adventure-golf/ some would say the only true test in golf.

Let's Go Karting

Surbiton Raceway seems to be the obvious choice with a couple of formats available.

Iron Man
This event can run for 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 1 hour and cater for between 5 and 15 drivers. The iron man consists of a 3 lap warm up session behind the pace kart followed by a rolling start in to fully marshalled racing conditions. The object is simple... race to win, winner takes all.

Sprint Meetings
Sprint meetings are held in a fully marshalled 'real time' racing environment. Aimed at individual drivers this event can cater for between 10 and 120 drivers and consists of four initial qualifying heats, followed by semi-finals and a chance to enter the 12-lap final.

Challenge 75 race
Challenge 75 is an ideal format to challenge your driving skills. After a one lap rolling start the race begins and finishes once the top 3 drivers have completed 75 laps. Have you what it takes to complete the challenge? The length of the race will depend upon your driving skills (Usually 30 to 45 minutes.) An individual race for 8 - 15 drivers.

I need to call to find out prices.
